"Making Something Out of Nothing and Selling It" (Entire Presentation)

From the "Berklee David Friend Recital Hall" YouTube page:

Have you ever wanted to create original music but didn’t know where to begin? Do you feel overwhelmed when you look at a blank page? Have you ever wanted someone to help you find your unique voice as an artist? Would you like to make interesting music on the spot, without your computer? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might enjoy Making Something out of Nothing and Selling It, a presentation by bassist and composer Kurt Morgan. At this unique creative workshop, Morgan will demonstrate his favorite techniques for getting the creative juices flowing, composing original music, and developing your unique voice as a musician. The presentation will feature a short performance by Morgan—and faculty members from Berklee College of Music—of some of his original compositions, followed by an explanation of some of the techniques used to compose the selected pieces. Bring your instruments: there will be audience participation, with attendees composing music their own music by using some of these techniques. The presentation will end with a question and answer session.
